It is led by Dr. Greggy Lubin, a doctoral-prepared, board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with nearly two decades of healthcare experience and a calm, practical teaching style. The goal is not to turn learners into clinicians. It's to help them recognize what matters, respond more effectively, communicate better with the care team, and know what to do next.

Dr. Greggy Lubin, DNP, PMHNP-C

I'm Greggy Lubin, a doctoral-prepared, board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, Wound Care Certified clinician, and Major in the U.S. Army Reserve. My career in healthcare began in 2007, and for nearly two decades I've worked across psychiatric care, telehealth, veterans' health, geriatric and post-acute care, inpatient and emergency nursing, and clinical operations.

I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Liberty University (2026), a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from South University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University, with foundational training through Miami Dade College and Lindsey Hopkins Technical Education Center. I'm licensed as a nurse practitioner in Virginia, New York, Washington, Florida, Delaware, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey, California, and Maryland.
CLINICAL BACKGROUND

Nearly two decades in psychiatric care

My clinical approach is calm, direct, practical, and collaborative. I work with adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, chronic stress and burnout, depression, trauma and PTSD, sleep concerns, and complex medication histories. I've spent much of my career with veterans, older adults, caregivers, and high-responsibility professionals who need privacy, clear communication, and a practical plan.
I also serve as a Major and Civil Affairs Officer in the U.S. Army Reserve, with prior service in the Army Nurse Corps: deployed medical service, clinical and operational leadership, company command, and multinational assignments. That experience shaped the same preparation, accountability, and calm decision-making I bring to healthcare and to teaching.

From rushed appointments to a better system

The Academy exists because of what changed, in three stages, over years of clinical practice.

The problem

For years, I watched complex patients receive care that felt rushed, fragmented, and impersonal, with barely enough time to be heard, let alone understood.

The practice

I built Lubin Institute around the opposite: careful listening, privacy, clear education, individualized planning, and lasting trust for every patient who walks through the door.

The Academy

Lubin Institute Academy extends that same standard into education, turning practical mental health knowledge into something individuals, families, and caregivers can actually use.
The Mental Health Caregiver Toolkit grew out of a simple, recurring problem: caregivers are expected to recognize meaningful change, communicate in difficult moments, track medications, prepare for appointments, spot warning signs, and protect their own well-being, usually without anyone ever teaching them how. This course exists to give them a practical system for knowing what to notice, what to say, what to document, when to contact the care team, and when more urgent help may be needed.
LANGUAGE & CULTURE

Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti

I speak English, French, and Haitian Creole, and that background shapes how I think about language access, family responsibility, and culturally responsive education. It's part of why Academy courses are being built with French and Haitian Creole learners in mind from the start.
